Terms of Use
Last updated: September 17, 2026
1. These Terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ordonezcounseling.com and any forms, pages, and content on it (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Ordonez Counseling, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Corporation ("the Practice," "we," "us," "our"), a California professional corporation. By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. What the Site is, and is not
The Site provides information about the Practice and lets you request an evaluation, refer a client, apply to our clinician network, or contact us. Using the Site, submitting a form, or receiving a reply from us does not by itself create a clinician–client relationship, an attorney–client relationship, or any duty of care. A professional relationship with the Practice begins only when we have confirmed an engagement in writing and the applicable consent documents have been signed.
Nothing on the Site is clinical advice, legal advice, or a substitute for either. Information about immigration and legal proceedings is general and may be out of date; consult a licensed attorney about your case.
3. Not for emergencies
THE SITE IS NOT AN EMERGENCY OR CRISIS SERVICE AND IS NOT MONITORED CONTINUOUSLY. If you are in crisis, thinking about suicide, or in immediate danger, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. See Get Help Now for more resources.
4. Evaluation services
Immigration evaluations and related services are provided under the Immigration Evaluation Terms & Disclosures and the written engagement and consent documents you sign before an evaluation begins. If those documents conflict with these Terms as to evaluation services, those documents control.
5. Who may use the Site
You must be 18 or older to submit a form on the Site. A parent, legal guardian, or attorney may request an evaluation on behalf of a minor or another person, and by doing so represents that they have the authority to do so. You agree that the information you submit is accurate and that you will not submit information about another person without authority to do so.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; submit false, misleading, or abusive content; harass or threaten any clinician or staff member; attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access; interfere with the operation or security of the Site; or scrape, copy, or reproduce the Site or its content other than for your personal use. We may restrict or block access for violations.
7. Intellectual property
The Site and its content (text, design, graphics, logos, and the names "Ordonez Counseling" and "ordonezcounseling.com") are owned by the Practice or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own non-commercial use. No other rights are granted.
8. Privacy
How we handle information you submit through the Site is described in the Privacy Policy. Health information that the Practice creates or receives in connection with clinical services is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices.
9. Third-party links and services
The Site may link to third-party sites (for example, licensing boards, crisis resources, or payment pages) and may use third-party services to host the Site, deliver email, or process forms and payments. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services, and your use of them is subject to their terms.
10. Disclaimers
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED, THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT INFORMATION ON IT IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT. NOTHING IN THIS SECTION LIMITS THE PRACTICE'S PROFESSIONAL OBLIGATIONS WITH RESPECT TO CLINICAL SERVICES IT HAS AGREED IN WRITING TO PROVIDE.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PRACTICE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE. THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO CLINICAL SERVICES PROVIDED UNDER A SIGNED ENGAGEMENT, WHICH ARE GOVERNED BY THE APPLICABLE ENGAGEMENT AND CONSENT DOCUMENTS AND BY LAW. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Governing law; disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from the Site that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights under the law of the state where you live.
13. Changes
We may update the Site and these Terms. The current version, with its effective date, is always posted at /terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
